We are writing to express our whole-hearted support for you in your fight to keep public television alive in Greece. Today's outrageous move by the Greek coalition government to shut down ERT, without even parliamentary approval, is unacceptable!

We send you -- ERT employees and people of Greece -- our message of solidarity and best wishes, and we call on the Greek government to annul this illegal measure. A government that carries out this kind of authoritarian action stands in shame before the international community of peoples.
